My OWL RoadTrip™ is provided by My OWL Tech LLC. This policy explains how the RoadTrip app and website handle information. This policy should be checked against the final released app and its third-party integrations before App Store submission.
Information you choose to provide
RoadTrip lets you enter trip names, planned destinations and waypoints, travel times, vehicles, stops, notes, photographs, expense details, and optional odometer readings. The app is designed to maintain trip records on your device rather than requiring an account for basic trip recording.
Location information
RoadTrip can use your location when you choose to enable location-based features, including optional trip or Wander tracking. Tracking is designed to operate while the app is active; it is not intended as continuous background tracking. You may use RoadTrip without enabling GPS tracking. Coordinates may be sent to weather or map providers when you request location-based forecasts or map information.
Weather, maps, and third-party services
RoadTrip may communicate with My OWL weather services and third-party mapping services to retrieve forecasts, map tiles, and location-related information. These services may receive request information such as coordinates, timestamps, IP addresses, or technical connection details as needed to deliver their services. Their own privacy practices may apply.
Storage and deletion
RoadTrip is designed around locally maintained trip records. Deleting records within the app removes those records from the app's local data where supported. Uninstalling the app generally removes its local application data, although operating-system backups and copies you exported or saved elsewhere may persist according to those services' settings.
Website contact and analytics
If you submit the website contact form, the information you provide is used to respond to your inquiry and may be transmitted by email. This website may use Google Analytics when configured; analytics may collect device, browser, usage, and technical information subject to Google's policies. The website does not require a user account.
Sharing and sale
My OWL Tech LLC does not sell RoadTrip trip records or location histories. Information may be processed by providers necessary to supply requested weather, map, hosting, email, or analytics services as described above.
Children
RoadTrip is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product and services change. The updated date above indicates the current published version.
